  • Organic French bean – 250gm
  • Organic chickpea – 100gm
  • Organic olive oil
  • Himalayan pink salt
  • Organic black pepper powder
  • Pinch of organic mustard powder
  • Pinch of organic garlic powder

Cooking Method

  1. Soak the organic dried chickpea overnight. Give it a rinse and then pressure cook in an instant pot with 3 cups of water for 30mins and let the pressure pot rest before removing it. Drain 2 -3 tablespoon of the chickpeas and keep it aside and keep the balance with the boiled water. Alternate is to buy a can of organic chickpea.
  2. Keep the French bean lengthy and only remove the tips from each end. Give it a soak and then pat it dry with kitchen towel.
  3. In a medium fire pan, pour 5 tablespoons of organic olive oil and let the oil heat up. When the oil is thoroughly heated up, put all the French beans into the hot oil to fry it. Keep stirring the French bean till the skin becomes wrinkle. It should be thoroughly cooked. Remove the French beans and keep it aside.
  4. For the remaining oil in the pan, just pour it out and keep it aside and just keep very minimal on the pan over small-medium fire. Sprinkle a pinch of garlic powder into the pan and add the 3 tablespoons of soften chickpea to stir till it is evenly coated with the garlic powder.
  5. Add the fried French beans back into the pan with the chickpea and give it a good stir. Add the pinch of organic mustard powder and pinch of black pepper powder and salt to taste.
  6. Give it a good stir and then before serving add 2 tablespoons of the chickpea water to let a quick simmer before dishing it to a serving dish.
  7. Serve it with white boiled rice and perhaps with a few slices of fried tempeh.

Delicious simple meal.
