Salt has been a staple in our diet for some few thousands of years. Unrefined salt is the primary salt that is essential for our body. White refined table salt is processed and devoid of these minerals and is laced with other synthetic conditioning agents. A major concern about sea salt is its source. Most of our waters, including the ocean are polluted with harmful poisons like mercury, plastic particles. That does not even include the toxic petrochemicals that remain in the water after oil spills. So literally, white refined salt is highly refined and purified to remove all these pollutants. However with these processing methods – how natural are these sea salt? Processed food are very high in refined salt, which can disturb and cause an imbalance to our body’s mineral whereby the sodium can imbalance our body’s electrolyte balance. It is not totally natural which makes it harder for our body to absorb.
Himalayan salt is an ancient sea salt from the Himalayan mountain range and these salt started out in lava covered crystallise sea beds over few million years ago. Because it is not processed, its unique structure remains good and harmonious with its inherent mineral elements. Himalayan Black Salt, Himalayan Pink Salt provides our body with the 40-50 different types of essential and trace minerals. Our body can absorb this type of nutrient packed salt.
